Sojourner: I will have the great white mange

Conservative Coalition member and Chris McDaniel campaign manager Melanie Sojourner encourages Republicans to vote for Democrat Senate nominee Travis Childers in November.  Apparently our little descendant of the House of Seale had a few things to say about the Senate Race.  A JJ correspondent reported she said:

Aye, aye," she shouted with a terrific, loud, animal sob, like that of a heart-stricken hog; "Aye, aye! it was that accursed white mange that razed me; made a poor pegging blubberer of me for ever and a day!" Then tossing both arms, with measureless imprecations she shouted out: "Aye, aye! and I’ll chase him round the Delta, and round the Coast, and round the Hub's maelstorm, and round perdition’s flames before I give him up. And this is what ye baggers have shipped for,  to chase that white mange on both sides of land, and over all sides of the state, till he spouts black blood and rolls Haley out. What say ye, baggers, will ye splice hands on it, now? I think ye do look brave.

Senator Sojourner also posted this message on Facebook yesterday:

She just ended her political career in the Republican Party with that statement

She might as well have said, "I'm so angry at Thad/the courts/somebody/etc. I'm going to burn my house down". At the end of the day, ANY Republican majority in the Senate is better than ANY Democrat majority. Period. Unless you're pleased with the way things currently are in Washinton, there is NO plausible argument otherwise.

Anyone who considers himself/herself to be a conservative would be an utter fool to not vote/vote for Childers as a protest about what happened in the senate race in June. At the end of the day, either Cochran or Childers will be elected as the senator from MS, and one will caucus with the Republicans and the other with the Dwmocrats. Don't let anyone deceive you that there's no difference between the two. In fact, there's a fundamental difference. Republicans have GOT to take back the senate, and even if you believe the two are the same, republicans CANNOT take the senate if too many democrats continue to hold office. It's pretty simple.

I voted for Chris, twice. I hate he lost, but it looks like he did. Therefore, it's now the time for ALL non-democrats to get behind the only Republican on the ticket. Again, it's IMPERATIVE that republicans take back the senate. VOTE, and hold your nose and vote for Thad. I am.

With Republicans on this site constantly deriding McDaniel supporters and calling them nuts, Nazis, and Klansmen, why should anyone expect them to turn out for Cochran?

When Teaparty people win the nomination and lose the general election due to low Republican turnout, the mantra is "the candidate was weak."

When more establishment Republicans run and lose (although I'm confident Cochran will win handily) the mantra is "the Teaparty wasn't loyal".

It is a circular firing squad with a "heads I win, tails you lose" mentality.

It is one of the reasons I think that in 12 years the Democratic Party will much stronger.

Listen, she just spent too much being the manager and staff handler, it took it's toll.
I predict it hs taken it's toll in Laurel also.

When, exactly, did the MS Republican Party go so completely off the rails? This is a serious question. Between the bullshit red meat stuff they offer up in the legislature and the McDaniels' camps' act, how can anyone identify with these asshats? Ike, and even Nixon would roll over in their graves if they were privy to these clowns.

These nuts would call Reagan a liberal.

Her career has been over. Reeves or Gunn should put her desk in a broom closet and cut off state funds to her constituents until they vote for someone sensible.

Anonymous said...

Apparently all the campaigners and followers of the McDaniel campaign are unhinged!!

Mack Daniels said...

WHERE was that said?

LOL at the post about making a donation if they appeal. And there's the green light the McDaniel camp was looking for.

Speaking of asshats, every time Kingfish squirts more charcoal lighter on the embers, the same tired Haley's Comets circle the atmosphere again like buzzards smelling a week-dead armadillo. And that armadillo represents our (republicans) chances to take back the senate and reclaim the land.

For Sojourner, "the vessel's leaving her port;" Or perhaps, it's already left.

Anonymous said...

OTOH, she now appears to know more election law than anyone else working for McDamien.

I love how Barry, the computer programmer, imagines himself to be a legal scholar!

Melanie's histrionics are always entertaining. She's certainly the Drama Queen of Politics!

"Their is only one vote you can cast..." per her facebook post

My 6th grade daughter is currently learning the appropriate use of "there and their." Isn't it sad that a state senator doesn't know the difference in "their and there?" That level of English language is taught at the 6th grade!!!!

Should see a Vet about that mange.

Better start a hottest lawmakers poll while there's still time for Miss Melanie to be a contestant.

The funny thing about Sojourner is that in 2011 she had plenty of "establishment" support and "RINO's" working to get her elected. And now this is where she's at...

If I were her, I'd be worried about my election next year, not any of this nonsense.

I have known wealthy, sophisticated people in Laurel and Natchez. I wonder how embarrassed they are now over McD and Melanie? When are they going to call them down?

Anonymous said...

Isn't there someone better in Natchez who will run against her?

you idiots sit there and act like Thad has this one in the bag. Like he didn't have to recruit democrats to win the republican primary. You shouldn't be so full of yourselves. I am a republican voting for childers. And no matter how much you rant and rave, at the end of the day it doesn't matter, because my vote counts just as much as yours. And there's a lot of people like me, who will not vote for the old cheat. If Thad had a lead, I would say jeer away, there is nothing you have to worry about. But he didn't even have enough of a lead to win the republican runoff with republican votes. This election is a long shot from being in the bag for Thad Cochran. If he wants a spot in the Senate then the ole crook had better step up his game, and fast.

3:33 am, it's not Kingfish who is urging McDaniel supporters to vote for Travis Childers (who, I hasten to say is my favored candidate, lest anyone defame me as a Thaddite). Sen. Sojourner posted her message on the McDaniel for Senate Facebook page.

For what it's worth, I do not think Sen. Sojourner has ruined her political career; that all depends on the electorate itself. The strength of the McDaniel vote in both primaries should give the MSGOP establishment pause.

Dear 10:23 a.m.,
Senator Harry Reid and President Obama thank you for your support of their agenda. Congratulations on becoming a member of the left wing and supporting the liberal cause. We welcome you to the Democratic Party.

Anonymous said...

I think everyone has forgotten Childers' business dealings with Joey Langston.

Anonymous said...

I'm out of town. Did Chris McD make announce his decision on the appeal as he said he would? It's Thursday and I have yet to see anything about it.

Anonymous said...

The only people that think Childers can win are the tea party folks. You don't hear any democrats saying he has a snowballs chance. Fantasy and conspiracy, back and forth.

Anonymous said...

Any "conservative" or someone who calls themselves "republican" is out of their mind to vote Democrat. So you are telling me that these tea party folks are so mad at Thad, that they are going to risk control of the United States Senate? What a bunch of idiots

Nah, McD's still riding around with his possum according to Marshall Ramsey, wondering why God has failed to give him a sign.

Anonymous said...

"Isn't there someone better in Natchez who will run against her?"

Yes, Bob Dearing. He should run as a GOP or independent.

Anonymous said...

I voted for Thad in GOP primary and run-off but would have gladly voted for McDaniels in general if he had won. McD has hurt himself since the runoff with his slow death. Nevertheless, I would still vote for him over a Dem.

Anonymous said...

Has Bob Dearing expressed an interest in running?

Anonymous said...

Dearing has said he is running - and some suggestion about running as a Republican. Problem is, Dearing is no more a Republican than Bobby Moak is.

I would bet by the time 2015 gets here there will be a couple of Repubs linng up to qualify for this Senate seat. Redistricting (which happened after Melanie's election in 2011) has made this a much stronger Repub district, and is influenced more by Pike county in a primary.

Dearing is a nice guy - well liked - but his politics are not conservative. And - he'll be 81 by the time the term starts. What's he want to do, challenge Denny to see who can be the oldest fellow in the Capitol?

Anonymous said...

Childers has my vote and my families vote, 5th generation GOP, never voted for a democrat in a national level job before. The state and National GOP used my donations to call me racist, cannot forgive this. May even donate to Childers and put up a sign. Sad I never had much against Thad.

7:01,
And on the other hand, the Tea Party folks have called everyone who voted for Cochran leftists and disloyal RINOs. McDaniel hasn't had much problem smearing a whole host Republican office holders and many volunteers who give of their time as a civic duty and accusing a whole host of people of wrongdoing without any legitimate basis. Forgive me if I am not impressed.

Anonymous said...

The proper way to do this is to write in Travis Childers. That way, the vote will not go to the Democrat, but it will still count AGAINST Thad.

Anonymous said...

So - did Melanie vote in the Repub runoff, knowing full well she had no intention to support the winner of her party's runoff? Isn't that a crime?

This may be the first real, crossover vote the Mickey Dee campaign has uncovered! Jail her!

Anonymous said...

9:06 You're an ignorant fool who knows nothing about Mississippi's laws regarding write-in votes. The vote you suggested will nit count one way or the other. You might as well write in Harry Reid, since that will be the end result of you so-called "conservatives".

Moron. You backed a loser who fortunately got found out before we had six years of national embarrassment for the state.

Anonymous said...

If Melanie and Chris were not having an affair, she would not be going out on a limb and throwing away her political future like this.

7:01. You are racist.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
